Emmersyn had her 2yr well check at the beginning of the year. They said she's 36in (3ft) and 30lbs (83rd percentile). She just seems so tiny to me. She is growing as normal, but is delayed in speech. We're already aware of that and believe it was due to not being able to hear properly for almost 2 years. She does have some permanent hearing loss and we're working with therapists and learning sign language as well.
What I wasn't prepared for was she failed her m-chat which is an autism test for toddlers. Totally not whati was prepared for. Dr. Nassim recommended going to Riley hospital in indy to meet witha pediatric developmental therapist. We will see what the future brings.
After weeks of stressing and literally breaking down everyday, I have decided to just let it fall as it does. It is not in my hands. If this is God's plan, I can't change it and she will still be the same Emmy to me. I'm, that's all I can write now.

more stitches
Few days before Christmas, I was baking in the kitchen and heard a Boom then heard Brennen cry. He had split his eye open again. We madea mad dash to urgent care andi asked the nurse if he needed stitched. She informed me he did. We waited TWO ANDA HALF HOURS before finally being addled back. The Dr said there was nothing to stitch, but glued it together. Seriously? I could have done that myself, but such is the life with boys I guess.
Brennen has surgery
Brennen had tubes put in December 31, 2013. He has had consistent ear infections since October. 5 infections to be exact. After the success of Emmy's surgery, Dr. K preformed his as well. Brennen was not quite as easy going as Emmy though and has had a bit of a time. He's been extra cranky and clingy with me. I'm hoping he's just going through a stage of adjustment.
