Baptism Pictures
Well, I found and downloaded my pictures from Emmersyn's baptism! YAY!
Emmersyn's cake! Yes, I choose this for the first picture because I like cake! HAHA. (Actually, it's just the way it uploaded on here, but it sounded good)
The Murray family of 4. I try to get as many family pictures as I can because usually it's one of us with the kids and I want the to know they had 2 parents when they look back at pictures! It's kind of hard gettng a good picture with 2 kids plus us, but this is the best of the choices.
Emmersyn got baptized
Emmersyn got baptized on Saturday night (April 28) after mass. I took a TON of pictures of the cake, house, the girls, and then had my mom take pictures during the baptism. When I got home, I couldn't find my camera. I did get some from my mother in law, but have not uploaded any yet to the computer so this post will be pictureless. Don't worry, I found the camera at church the next day so I will upload pics asap!
While I'm not a die hard catholic and do not agree 100% on all the theories of the church, it is important to me that my kids be baptized into the church. It was something Matt and I discussed to great lengths before we got married and I wouldn't budge on the matter. I wanted to get married in the church and also have our children baptized and HOPEfully go to the school there (St. Pauls). However, since our family is growing a little more than we had thought, we are now unsure if we will be able to afford for all 3 kids to go to a private school for 6 years and I don't want them to have to switch schools unless we move.
Stay tuned for pictures!

Doctors appointment
Yesterday Emmersyn had her 4 month well check with- Dr. Nassim. I LOVE the way Dr. Nassim includes Teagan in Emmersyn's checkups. Each time we go, Teagan asks to use the dr's stethoscope (yes, she knows that word) to listen to her Emmersyn's heart and the doctor lets her! Super cute!
Emmersyn had 2 shots in her leg today and an oral medication as well. She did good but cried during the shots..no surprise there! However, after last time, I was smart and brought a bribe for Teagan and gave her a sucker when the nurse came back in so there was no crying from her too! YAY! She was so focused on opening the sucker, she didn't really know what they were doing until after it was over. I do love that Teagan tries to comfort her sister though. No sibling rivarly yet for Teagan and I"m so Happy about that. (we'll see how she reacts to baby #3 though)
After the doctors, we met my mom at big boy for lunch. Although I hate shot days because of how much Emmersyn cries, I do love the fact that it means she is super sleepy and means I can actually enjoy lunch myself! (selfish, I know). After lunch, I let my mom take Teagan with her (another shocker!) for the rest of the afternoon and early evening! They went shopping and playing and had such a good time. I'm not sure who was more worn out, Teagan or my mom! Mom said she's too old to be lifting a kid in and out of a carseat all day, but had such a good time! They even went for an ice cream cone on the way home! Teagan was asleep within 2 minutes of going to bed...a new record! I enjoyed my time with only 1 kiddo and got a ton of cleaning accomplished for Emmersyn's baptism party tonight! I forgot how easy having 1 baby was!

Emmersyn at 4 months
Emmersyn is 4 monthes old today! It is so hard to believe that she is already that old and is getting so big!
At 4 monthes:
- you are wearing a size 3mn clothes and some 3-6 mn sleepers
- you are wearing a size 2 diapers
- you are 14lb11oz (63rd percentile) and 25.5 inches (90th percentile)
- you are eating between 5-6oz of formula every 4-5 hrs during the day
- you sleep between 6.5-8.5hrs through the night
- we normally feed you around 9pm and sleep til around 5:30 and then take a bottle and go back to sleep til 7:30-8am
- you are such an easy, mellow baby
- you rarely cry and can usually be soothed by being held
- you like to nap in your swing during the day if your sister will let you
- you laugh out loud at your mommy, daddy, and especially Teagan
- you have dark hair and it is growing in on the top...kind of likes like a mowhawk
- and you have bright blue eyes
I am incredibly blessed with having Emmersyn as a daughter. I couldn't imagine life without either of my girls!
Potty Training Update
I think Teagan is finally getting the hang of using the potty. She wears underwear at home all the time except naptime and bedtime. She will usually tell me or Matt that she has to go, or we will just put her on the potty every so often and she'll go. Yesterday, we had gymnastics so I put a diaper on her and when we got home 2 hours later, it was still dry. I'm trying to decide when we will test the undies in public. I just don't want the mess of an accident in public.
Although she is good going number 1, usually she will ask for a diaper if she has to poop. I don't know why she won't go #2 on the potty, but for now, at least she knows when she needs to go and will ask for the diaper. I am thinking she may actually be potty trained before preschool now!!! yes, that was a worry of mine!

I'm Preggo!
Oh My Word! Who would have ever thought I would be pregnant...again....in less than a year! I'm in complete shock. I am VERY excited about the baby and don't want anyone to think otherwise, however I am feeling completely overwhelmed with the idea of 3 kids under age 4. Heck, I am having such a hard time potty training Teagan, I may have 3 in diapers stilL! And yes, I know HOW it happens, but I really didn't think 1 time without coverage would hurt...Hell, we were married 6 years without any "accidents" before Emmersyn!
Back story: Obviously, Emmersyn was born Dec. 27th. I choose not to breastfeed. (That is my own personal decision and I support whatever works for your family.) Since then, everything 'girl wise' returned to normal and I was late. I bought a pregnancy test a few days after I was suppose to start and it actually said negative. However, when I thought I was preggo with Emmersyn, the tests all showed negative even after I had the ultrasound and blood work confirmed I was pregnant. Finally, 3 monthes later, I had a positive result. I wasn't about to wait that long this time since I was keeping track. I had a doctor's appointment already scheduled to recheck my blood pressure and heart meds from being preggo last time and decided to go in the day before for blood work so my doctor would have the results the next afternoon for my appointment.
At my appointment, my suspicion was confirmed...Dr. B. kind of chuckled and said, "i have some news for you..." I knew before I even went I was pregnant. Call it gut feeling or mothers intuation, but I knew. SHe just confirmed. Obviously, my meds will remain the same during this pregnancy unless my BP gets higher again. She did up the dosage to help keep it under control and I have a feeling I'm going to need all the help I can get! HA.
Based on my calculations, I am about 6 wks pregnant with a due date of Dec. 15, 2012. That is just my guess though since I haven't been to my OB yet. I go April 3oth to Dr. Norfleet. I'm pretty sure she'll get a chuckle out of this too! My guess of this baby's birthday is Nov. 29th which is also the day my dad died. Let's see if my gut is right on it!

Expansion 2012
The Murray Family will be expanding even more in 2012! We will be celebrating 2 first Christmas's this year! In case that isn't clear enough...I am preggo again! How crazy that the girl who was told "you will never conceive without medical intervention" is now expecting my second baby in less than a year!
Obviously, this pregnancy was not planned, but then again, none of the girls were technically planned and I couldn't imagine life without my girls!
We are waiting on making it public, but since there are only a few people who actually read my blog, I figured I was safe! Stay tuned for more expansion news!

Knock on Wood
I'm completely going to jinx myself by telling both of my blog readers (HA) that Emmersyn has been sleeping about 9 hours straight at night! She will sleep in her swing while I watch TV and then I feed her around 10 and she sleeps in her crib til 7:30-8am!! And, since I haven't been battling Teagan with naps lately, she has been sleeping til 9! Some mornings, I feed Emmersyn up in my bed and then we "sleep" til Teagan wakes up! Such a nice change from my first round with a new baby...Teagan rarely slept more than 4 hrs stretches. And in fact, some days she still gets up and plays in bed in the middle of the night.
I am SO LUCKY to have such good kids though. They both wake up so happy and are content to lay in bed until I'm ready to get them up! Even though Teagan is in a big girl bed, she will NOT get out of it until we tell her she can and Emmersyn doesn't cry at all in the morning when she wakes up! I can hear her cooing and trying to suck her thumb and I will go make a bottle, take a shower, and then get her...I am truely blessed!

Tax Day!
It's Tax DAY! Have you done your taxes? Thankfully, I can say yes, but just barely! We got our taxes done a few weeks ago and then last week got a call from the guy that the IRS needed to recheck them because he put in the wrong codes. SO....we took all the paperwork back and a few days later, we are all filed! We owed Indiana but got a nice refund from federal (thank you Emmersyn).

A first for Emmersyn!
Emmersyn rolled over last night from her back to her belly! And of course, in true working mom fashion, I was at work and missed it!
I know there will be many more "firsts", but I do have to admit...I cried when I found out she rolled over and I missed it because of work! On a positive note, since Matt and I switch up watching the girls, he got to see it! I think it helped him bond more with her!

Easter 2012
I LOVE Easter! I think it's my favorite holiday. I love hiding eggs over and over. I Love the fact you get to spend time with family without the obligation of buying presents like at Christmas. I love ham and all the food that goes with Easter.
Now that I have kids, I love it even more. I love explaining the traditions of the Easter Bunny, coloring eggs, and baking neat treats with Teagan (Emmersyn is too little of course, but will enjoy it in a few years too). Teagan was really into the Easter bunny this year. We explained that the Easter bunny came and delivered treats, kind of like Santa. She assumed that the bunny came on reindeer too, and told me all about the bunny flying down and coming through the door, etc. Such a good imagination.
This is my first bunny cake with Teagan! I was shopping at Target the other day, helping the bunny pick out treats, and saw the bunny pan and knew my girls would LOVE to do this! I was definately right...Teagan couldn't wait to put his "whiskers" on him. I think you're suppose to use jelly beans, but since I don't like jelly beans, I used m&ms...I think I had to redo them a few times and if you look by the bunny's neck, you will see little finger marks from some little girl picking the m&ms off! HA
And of course, we had to color Easter Eggs as well! I don't stress much about messes but did take Teagan's shirt off so it didn't stained. I probably could have just wrapped a towel or smock around her, but she is still little enough to go without a shirt so that's what we did! She LOVED it and wanted to keep "checking" the eggs by sticking her hands into the water and picking them up! Her hands were gross and stained, but her smile made it worth it!
I got these cute baskets made this year! I absolutely love them and it also helps Teagan know which toys are hers and which are for Emmersyn. I have tried to put something on Emmersyn's carseat multiple times and Teagan thinks they are hers and takes them so I made sure the Easter bunny brought something for Emmersyn and Teagan did fine with it! She actually thinks her friend Baby Hadley gave it to Emmersyn, but whatever works to allow Emmersyn some toys is fine by me! HA
And this is my FAVORITE picture of the girls EVER!!! I got them matching dresses, tights, head band and bows, etc. Yes, I know it is totally obnoxious, but I couldn't help it! I try not to dress them alike TOO much, but holidays are an exception! It is now my facebook picture, my screensaver on the laptop, and my wallpaper on my phone! HAHA!

Zoo Pictures!
I finally uploaded the zoo pictures from the day we were banished! A little late, but better than never right~
Emmersyn's 1st zoo trip! And Teagan's first trip of 2012.
Of course, we had to get a picture of her on every animal they have...she is REALLY into elephants right now though so this was her favorite!
Emmersyn wasn't really that impressed with the zoo. She gave me the stink eye a few times...I can't really blame her. I think I'd be mad too if I were strapped in a carseat all day, but she does love being outside and ended up taking a nap while we walked the zoo.
As we were leaving the zoo. I wanted to show the dirt all over, messy hair, etc, but you can't really tell in the picture. Teagan had such a fun day walking by herself (usually she has the stroller to fall back on when she gets "tired") and playing in the playground area. I was so happy with what a good listener she was that day!

updates
Can't believe it's been a whole week since I've last updated anything, but really nothing new is happening. We have been working hard on potty training with Teagan and she is getting so much better at letting us know when she has to go, but usually waits until a little comes out and then tells us...whoops!
Emmersyn is starting to babble some. She likes to "talk" a little more than she did a few weeks ago even. I had to go through more totes of clothes for some summer clothes for her since it has been so incredibly warm lately.
We have decided NOT to persue the house in Charlestown because we do not like the school system it is in. As much as I want to send the girls to private school, realistically, we may not be able to and I don't want to have to move again in 4 years.
We have adjusted to the new normal of me working nights again and Matt being with 2 girls. Although my house is messy and dinner is cooked at 10am and reheated, I do appreciate being able to be home with them without having daycare expenses. It works for us!
Teagan is really into wearing my dress shoes. She found them while we were cleaning out closets a few weeks ago and LOVES to wear them all over! Today, she paired it with a hat...

And that is all that is new in the Murray house! We start gymnastics back tomorrow and I'm hoping to report tomorrow that Teagan listened and followed instructions, but I do not want to set myself up for failure by guaranteeing it! LOL
