Emmersyn at 9 monthes!

It's hard to believe that Emmersyn is already 9 monthes! I know I say that every month, but it just seems to be flying by! In 3 short monthes we will be celebrating her 1st birthday! Crazy!!

She continues to be an "easy" baby and is pretty laid back.  Right now we are battling a little cold and respitory infection so she is a little more fussy than normal, but still a GREAT girl!

At 9 monthes Emmersyn weighs 20lb1oz and is 28.75inches.  I didn't get the percentiles at the doctor yesterday, but I'd say she's around the 50-60% for both (I will google it later!).

She LOVES to stand up! She can pull herself up on anything and likes to "cruise" the furniture.  Last night, she let go and stood alone for a second. She got so excited and started to laugh and then fell over! HA

She LOVES to climb the stairs. If I don't put up the barrier, she is up them in 5 seconds flat! She'll see us coming, look at us, smile, and take off! She is definately my dare devil!

She wears a size 3 diaper, a 9 month in clothes, and some 12 month sleepers.

She is much more anamated and able to play more with Teagan and Teagan LOVES that! She's even taught Emmersyn how to be a puppy and play fetch with toys! Crazy to watch, but cracks me up!

I asked the doctor about the lump by her eye (seen in the above picture). It appeared a few monthes ago and honestly, I thought she either hit something or Teagan hit her with something. When it didn't go away, I made a note to ask the dr.  Dr. Nassim said it was a cyst. We are scheduling an appointment to go to a pediatric optomologist. She said sometimes the cyst was just on the surface of the bones, but sometimes they would grow around nerves. We are looking at probably some CAT scans, tests, and possible surgery. If surgery is required, it will be done by a neurosurgeon.

#3

We went to the specialist today for an ultrasound on #3.  He is measuring about 2 weeks further along and weighs approx 2lb14oz. His head size is in the 98th percentile and let me tell you how much I am enjoying the fact that I am having a c-section with that information! HA!
The cyst on his brain has resolved itself. They were able to see all 4 chambers in his heart FINALLY, but they still didn't get as good as look as they were wanting, but at least everything is looking better!

*Funny story: Today when I dropped Teagan off at school, her teacher asked is we had named our new baby yet. I said no, why? She said Teagan told her the baby's name was going to be Suzy. LOL. Ms. Ficko said "Teagan, Emmersyn, and Suzy....didn't sound like it went together too well" and laughed. I had to laugh and say, especially since it's a boy! I guess it's better than when she told everyone his name was Polly Wally Doodle

First Sick Day

Teagan took her very first sick day of her school career today.  She had started to get a runny nose on Sunday. Sunday night she barely slept (which means mommy didn't either) and was up coughing and crying most of the night. I think I played musical beds most of the night. I slept in her bed with her for a few hours, then Emmersyn got up for her bottle so I fed her, put her back to bed, and went back to my bed.  About half an hour later, Teagan came in and cuddled up again with me. I knew a trip to the doctor was going to happen.
I ended up taking her in at 10am Monday.  The swabbed her throat for strep which came back negative.  She does have another ear infection so we are on another round of antibiotics.  She was going to go to school today anyways as ear infections aren't contagious and she had no fever, but she was up all night again.  Decided I would be upset if someone sent their kid to school like that so I opted to keep her home.  Good thing because at 8 am the vomiting started. (we go to school at 8:15)
And now the fun of trying to have 2 sick kids who are both needing/wanting their mommy and 1 VERY tired, sick mommy. Days like today make me wonder how I'll manage 3, but at the end of the day, I know it's worth it!

We've been hanging out at home a lot this week. Emmersyn as a bit of the stomach bug and everything comes out the bottom and ALL over and I don't want to deal with it in public! YUCK

Here's my rotten baby yesterday while Teagan was at school! She LOVES to stand up. I think today was the first time someone told me she actually looked like me. Usually I hear she looks like Matt and then when I post pics on FB, everyone says she looks like my mom. Silly people! I have more people tell me Teagan looks like me and she's adopted. HA.  Oh well, I think it's just the hair color anyways. Teagan has lighter hair like me and Emmersyn has dark hair like Matt, but both have my blue eyes! YAY! LOL

What can I say?!?! We lead very exciting lives in the Murray home!

Picture perfect?

Do you ever read blogs and think "yeah right, this is not a normal family"? I blog stalk a LOT and have to laugh at some of the "perfect" families I read about.  I also have a TON of people make comments bout me being a great mom all the time. HA! If you only knew what goes on here!
I am totally NOT the perfect mom. Yes, I LOVE being a mom and there isn't anything else I'd rather do, but some days I'm over it. I was actually counting down last week to Friday because I was going to get a pedicure...ALONE!!! And then, I went and met some girl friends for dinner. Such a nice time, but after 2hrs out alone, I felt guilty for looking forward to it. Teagan has been testing her boundries lately. Typical 3 year old stuff, but some days it is tiring. My house is a mess. I pick it up some and a few hours later it is destroyed again.  Oh well!
Emmersyn is into EVERYTHING right now.  She LOVES to mess with everything she isn't suppose to, puts everything in her mouth, and is the complete opposite as what Teagan was as a baby. Not better or worse, just opposite.
And just for laughs, last week I was so frazzled with working, Emmersyn being a bit fussy due to teeth/sickness, and just over a lot of things and loaded her up to give her a nap while I drove around. I stopped to get my daily diet coke and realized I forgot to put pants on...YUP, that's right. No pants. In Public. In holey undies non the less.  LOL...what a sight. However, I did get the diet coke! Thank God I remebered to put a blankie on Emmersyn and just threw that on my lap! HA
Hope you enjoyed reading all about my imperfect life. It is what it is and I do love it...most of the time!

Happy Half Birthday Teagan

It's hard to believe Teagan is now 3 and a half!!! Teagan is so full of life and spunk! She is very vocal about what she likes, what she doesn't like, and what she wants you to do! HA. She has grown so much in the last 6 months.  She is loving towards her sister (most of the time), LOVES school and going to the park, has a very vivid imagination, is 100% potty trained, and is a sweet girl!

It's Hard to Believe you are already THIS big!
Add caption

you started dance class and LOVE being a ballerina!

You have your own fashion sense. You LOVE dressing up in weird attire and LOVE to wear cow'girl' hats!
And you finally got to be a real cowgirl when you rode your first pony!

Happy Half Birthday Teagan! I can't believe you're half way to 4! Where does time go?

Parent's Night

Matt and I dropped the girls off with my mom and headed to Parent's Night at St. Paul's last night. The director and teachers were there and had a little program set up with what the kids are learning each day, what's coming up this fall, and some other "business" information.
When we walked in there were pictures of the kids up on the walls along with "who am I" signs. I see the pictures when I drop Teagan off in the mornings, but Matt hasn't been since the first day so he was excited to be involved.
We saw some of their work "stations" that include the weather, the color station, and a spot where they hang artwork done about their "I am Special" book. Everyday they also get a snack and some play time outside, although since Teagan fell the second week of school she has been a little apprehensive about playing.

There were a few signs we thought could be Teagan's until we saw this one...we knew that was definately our girl! Busketi is spaghetti for anyone who doesn't speak 3 year old! HA
The teachers all said Teagan was doing well (but I didn't really expect they wouldn't) and was a good listener. They also told me the purple table (hers) was the "golden table" and they didn't have any trouble with any of the kids at that table! YAY

Emmersyn

I can't believe how quickly my baby girl is growing up! She is nearly 8.5 monthes now and is so freaking cute! (Biased opinion) She is now pulling up, cruising the couch, into EVERYTHING, and just a joy about 99% of the day. I enjoy our one on one time while Teagan's at school twice a week, and feel a little sad it will only be for a short while until her little brother joins us!

I know middle children often feel slighted on attention and I am a little sad she didn't have more time to be the "baby". I do know that I love her as much as I could love anyone in my life!

Updates on #3

Ok, I know everyone has been praying and waiting on news on #3. I FINALLY got a call yesterday from the labs. They said that all the trisomy 13, 18, and 21 came back LOW risk!!! YAY! That means my odds are back to the "normal", everyday person's odds! I can finally breath a sigh of relief!
Today, I had to go to Labor and Delivery. I have been having horrible back pains for a few weeks, but chalked it up to nerves being laid on/stretched. This morning, I woke up with horrible stomach pain, the constant back pain, vomiting, and diaherrah (TMI). If I didn't know better I would have said I was in labor. It was almost the same feeling as when I was induced with Emmersyn. I called the doctor around 10 when i couldn't keep anything in and she told me to go to L&D. I was severly dehydrated and that caused me to start contracting. A few hrs (5) and 2 bags of fluids later, I was able to leave. They gave me some zofran in the IV as well to help keep the fluids in. Thankfully, I am home now. I'm suppose to take it easy for a few days, but that's easier said then done with 2 kids already!

weekend recap

We had a very exciting weekend. HA

My inlaws are leaving for a 2 week cruise (and I'm totally jealous) this morning so they asked to babysit Friday night so they could have some time with the girls before they left. Matt and I decided to have a date night! YAY! And we were definately wild let me tell ya!

First, we left at 3:30. We went to the pharmacy to pick up some meds. There was a HUGE mixup there and we got a little sidetracked. After calling the doctors office and not getting a response, I was a little freaked out. I tried her personal cell, the on call #, and finally just decided to wait til Monday to investigate.

Then, we went to the new Chili's in town. Since we eat at the senior citizen time, there wasn't much of a wait. I think we waited maybe 5 minutes. The service was fabulous although it did take a while for the food to come out, but when you're without kids, it doesn't really matter!

And after dinner, we went to Old Navy to look for some pants for Teagan. She seems to have shot up about 5 inches since last fall so her pants look like high waters! Didn't find any pants, but I did get each of the girls the cutest Halloween shirts!

And that's it for our Big date night without kids! We rented a movie on the way home to watch after the girls went to bed and we were home by 7! HA. WILD ThINgs we are!!

As for the rest of the week, I worked Sat and Sun all day. Matt was suppose to work Sat too so I switched my shift to work 10-6 so neither mom had to come over at 5 am...My mom ended up coming over from 9:30 til around noon to watch the girls for us! I know everyone is super jealous of our exciting lives, but we do what we have to do to support our growing family!

Emmersyn's first tooth

Emmersyn FINALLY has her first tooth!!! It popped through on Tuesday. Of course, you can't really see it too well, but it's on her bottom left. Just more proof that my little girl is growing up!

It's A Boy!

It's officially out now...Murray #3 is a boy! I decided it was time for me to start referring to my next baby as a "he" instead of "it". (it has nothing to do with the fact I suck at keeping secrets! LOL)
As I've always said, Matt and I have a hard time picking names for our kids. The girls were somewhat easy, but it still takes us FOREVER! With Teagan, we could not agree on boy names at ALL! Luckily, she was a girl and we had LOVED the name Teagan. With Emmersyn, we agreed to wait until we knew what she was before discussing names to save the arguement if it were a girl. We didn't have either names for the longest time, but narrowed it down between Ashlyn and Emmersyn and in the end, obviously Emmersyn won!
And now the dreaded time to narrow down, discuss, and say boy names over and over! HAHA! Teagan has mentioned a few names, but she will definately not be naming him.

More on #3:
I went to the fetal specialists last week. I did not get released because of something found on the ultrasound. They found a cyst on his brain. It is called at choroid plexus cyst and it is linked to chromosonial disorders, specificially trisomy 18. I, of course, heard cyst, brain, and baby in the same sentence and immediately went into freak out mode, but had to keep my composure to hear what the doctor was saying. Also, I was alone for that visit and didn't want to lose it in public, walk a few blocks to the parking garage, and try to drive home while hysterical.
I did some lab work right after the ultrasound and will be getting a more detailed report in a few weeks. They said it takes about 8-14 BUSINESS days to get the results and with the holiday, it will take about the whole 14 days. I do have another appt at the end of the month so I'm praying everything checks out good!
